We know that many of you may not have been able to make it to the funeral service today for my mother Ruth, but we wanted to make sure that you could still view the service if you so desired.

The Gutierrez family would like to invite you to come to a memorial service to celebrate the life of Ruthie Gutierrez on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga, TN. Directions below:
Visitation with the family begins at 10:00 AM and the service will begin at 11:00 AM.

Dearest Friends,
This morning at 6:14 AM, Ruthie found that the vehicle in which she has been travelling is not adequate for the trip she is now taking. After an overnight fellowship with the love of my life, I sensed that she was ready to go home and I called Nathaniel who came immediately and stood beside her holding his mother’s right hand while I was holding her left hand over night. We observed her for fifteen minutes, breathing softly and then slower and slower.
When she stopped breathing, we seemed to find ourselves answering the question from the Father, “Who gives this woman to be married to my son?” I answered, “her children and I.” And I placed her hand on the hand of the Lord Jesus.
And thus the little hummingbird flew freely to the sky to disappear into thin air. I believe from my heart that she is in paradise-all within a twinkling of an eye.
Finally the answer to our prayers for healing – we asked for health, and our Lord gave us perfect healing.
Funeral service will be held early this week at First Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga, TN.
